Why pick an auspicious day to buy a vehicle in October 2026?

For many people, buying a vehicle is a memorable milestone tied to going to school, commuting, or starting a new job. Besides choosing the right model, checking good days is also valued for the following reasons:

• Expressing wishes for luck and safety: Choosing a favorable day reflects the hope that the vehicle will accompany its owner smoothly. This is a meaning rooted in customs and popular belief.

• Creating a relaxed mindset when receiving the vehicle: A day that fits your and your family’s beliefs can make you more excited about the new vehicle.

• Preparing proactively for the purchase: When you set the delivery date in advance, it’s easier to arrange your time, payment plan, and companions to inspect the vehicle.

However, an auspicious day does not determine the vehicle’s durability or guarantee safety while traveling. Vehicle quality, maintenance, and safe driving practices remain the priorities.

Suggested auspicious days to buy a vehicle in October 2026

If you’re looking for good days to buy a vehicle in October 2026, consider 04/10/2026, 05/10/2026, 17/10/2026, 18/10/2026, 24/10/2026, 29/10/2026, and 30/10/2026. This list is evaluated according to the 12 criteria for vehicle purchase and cross-checked with the lunar calendar, Can Chi, and auspicious hours.

Note: Different date-selection systems may give different assessments. A day suggested for shopping according to the Truc Man, Binh, or Thu categories is not necessarily an auspicious day under the 12-god system. Therefore, the table below is a reference list based on the stated criteria, not a universally lucky-date list for every age.

Summary table of auspicious days to buy a vehicle in October 2026

The Gregorian month of October 2026 corresponds to the lunar period from 21/8 to 22/9 in the lunar calendar, year Binh Ngo. The table below prioritizes daytime auspicious hours, convenient for arranging handover appointments with the dealer.

The times in the table are Vietnam times and only select some daytime slots from the list of auspicious hours. You should agree in advance with the dealer; auspicious day and auspicious hour are two different concepts.

October 4, 2026 (Lunar August 24) - Truc Man

Truc Man implies fullness, so this day appears in suggestions for buying a vehicle when seeking wealth or shopping. Falling on Sunday, it is also a convenient time if you want to go with relatives to view the vehicle and receive delivery. The 11am-1pm or 1pm-3pm slots may be easier to arrange than early morning hours.

If the family prioritizes the auspicious-day criterion, reconsider because this day is classified as Nguyen Vu Black Path in the 12 deities system.

Days to avoid when buying a vehicle in October 2026

Besides the list of auspicious days to buy a vehicle in October 2026, viewers usually also compare the taboo days according to the Lunar calendar. Two commonly mentioned groups are Tam Nuong and Nguyet Ky. These are folk beliefs and are not evidence that buying a vehicle on these days will cause problems.

Tam Nuong days in October 2026

Tam Nuong are usually counted on the 3rd, 7th, 13th, 18th, 22nd and 27th of each Lunar month. When converted to October 2026 on the Gregorian calendar, the corresponding days are:

• 02/10/2026: 22/8 Lunar calendar.

• 07/10/2026: 27/8 Lunar calendar.

• 12/10/2026: 3/9 Lunar calendar.

• 16/10/2026: 7/9 Lunar calendar.

• 22/10/2026: 13/9 Lunar calendar.

• 27/10/2026: 18/9 Lunar calendar.

• 31/10/2026: 22/9 Lunar calendar.

If your family has the habit of avoiding Tam Nuong, you should schedule the vehicle pickup for another day. Do not confuse the Lunar dates above with Gregorian dates.

Nguyet Ky days in October 2026

According to the common folk calculation, Nguyet Ky falls on the 5th, 14th and 23rd of the Lunar month. In October 2026 on the Gregorian calendar, the corresponding days are:

• 03/10/2026: 23/8 Lunar calendar.

• 14/10/2026: 5/9 Lunar calendar.

• 23/10/2026: 14/9 Lunar calendar.

Besides these two groups, you can also check conflicted-age days and the criteria of auspicious and inauspicious stars if your family values these factors. Do not combine different methods of selecting days and then conclude that every date not on the table is bad.

Notes when choosing an auspicious day to buy a vehicle in October 2026

To make the vehicle handover convenient, you should combine the reference dates with practical needs and the following preparations:

• Check according to the named owner or vehicle owner: When checking age, use the birth year of the exact person chosen to check the day. Do not take the fate of the Binh Ngo year as the general fate for all buyers.

• Agree on a single method of day selection: If you prioritize auspicious-day criteria, you must check this criterion separately. A good day for shopping or an auspicious hour does not automatically turn a day into an auspicious day.

• Choose a time that fits the dealer's schedule: Prefer daytime hours to inspect the vehicle and get consultation. If a good time slot falls outside opening hours, choose another slot or reschedule the pickup.

• Differentiate between deposit date and pickup date: Steps may take place at different times. You should decide which transaction date you want to schedule before setting an appointment.

• Inspect the vehicle and documents before payment: Check exterior, brakes, tires, lights, horn and equipped functions. Cross-check vehicle information, invoice, warranty card and included accessories.

• Choose a vehicle suitable for daily use: Consider travel distance, seating posture, load, charging location if buying an electric vehicle, and total budget. These factors directly affect the post-purchase experience.

• Ask clearly about after-sales policy: Confirm the scope, terms of warranty and repair locations. Only finalize the pickup date when the dealer confirms the exact model and version you chose.

If you want to perform a vehicle pickup ritual according to family customs, you can prepare simply, appropriate to your circumstances. There is no need to incur extra expenses beyond your budget to have a pleasant start.
